West Virginia. In addition to TEDxWVU, Kyle is also a part of Phi Sigma
Pi on campus, a student ambassador with the Eberly College, and a commuter
assistant with WVU’s commuter program. Kyle plans to graduate undergraduate
in 2023 and, though he doesn’t know what he wants to do yet, he hopes his
future will take him across the world. His passions include studying the
interaction between religion and politics, as well as observing the change
of music genres over time.
Why did you join TEDxWVU?
Freshman year, I wanted to get involved with TEDx so I could learn more about the campus programming, while also learning the process behind TED in general. I was fascinated to find out what goes into preparing and putting on a TED talk, both as a speaker and as the production team.
What is your favorite thing about our organization?
My favorite thing about the organization is what it stands for. TEDxWVU puts emphasis on giving people a platform to use their voice in any way that they want to. I love being a part of an organization that prioritizes individuality and speaking up about things within our community.
