She serves the university in multiple ways and is very involved in a number student organizations, including serving as an Honors College student worker, a Presidential Student Ambassador, a brother of Delta Sigma Pi, a student volunteer for Camp Kesem, a member of the Wellness and Mental Health Student Advisory Board, and a Supply Chain Management Association member. Allie enjoys all of the many opportunities WVU has to offer and she was in attendance at the first year’s inaugural TEDxWVU event, served as Co-Chair for the second inaugural year, and has been honored to serve as Chair and Licensee since the third inaugural event.
Why did you join TEDxWVU?
I joined TEDxWVU because ever since I was first introduced to TED Talks and their mission, I was inspired. When I came to WVU and discovered a student organization dedicated to ideas worth spreading, I was excited to become involved and have a hand in creating something bigger than myself.
What is your favorite thing about our organization?
My favorite thing about TEDxWVU is the opportunity to create an event from start to finish that has the potential to impact our university community, state, and beyond. I enjoy being surrounded by like-minded individuals who are passionate about lifting up others and beginning dynamic conversations.
